Are you an active religious/praying school?

Riviera prides itself on student diversity. The school is an interdenominational school and provides for the faith practices of all recognised religions. Various accredited religious clergy guide and nurture students’ spiritual growth and development.

Do you study the same Cambridge International Program as other schools?

Yes, as an accredited Cambridge Examinations Centre, we are obliged to follow the strict guidelines as set by the Cambridge International Program.

What are the term dates?

A.

Riviera operates January to November under the Ministry of Education gazetted term dates.

Do you run remedial language classes?

A.

Yes. Primarily focused on francophone learners Riviera runs a dedicated remedial English class in term 3 of each year, as a preparation to enhance English mastery in learners preparing for the following year’s enrolment.

What combinations do you offer?

A.

In the Rwandan National Program we offer in the sciences PCM, PCB,MPG, MEG, MEC, MPC, BCM, and the arts HEG, HEL, HGL, LEG.

In the Cambridge International Program AS & A Level  principal subjects offered are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Studies, Economics, Geography and History.  Subsidiary subjects are English Language, Psychology and General Paper. Students must take a minimum of three Primary and one Secondary subject.

Does Riviera offer all Sciences subjects?

Yes. A full compliment of science subjects is offered including Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Core Mathematics and Computer Science, including the new subsidiary Mathematics from 2016.

No. Riviera is a mixed school and also a co-educational facility focussed on building the social discipline of the child as well as the academic and spiritual disciplines.
